How do BVLA custom body jewellery orders work?

Every BVLA custom order begins with a consultation. We’ll discuss your piercing, style, preferred gemstones, precious metal and budget before helping you choose an existing BVLA design to personalise or creating something completely bespoke. Once your design is approved, BVLA handcrafts your jewellery in Los Angeles before it’s prepared for collection or secure delivery.

Do I need an appointment?

We recommend booking a consultation so we can guide you through the design process, discuss your ideas and help you choose the perfect jewellery for your anatomy and style. If you’re unable to visit the studio, we’re also happy to discuss your custom order remotely.

Can I customise an existing BVLA design?

Yes. Many BVLA designs can be personalised by changing the precious metal, gemstones, finishes or other design details, allowing you to create a piece that’s uniquely yours while retaining the original design.

Can BVLA create a completely custom design?

Absolutely. If you have a unique idea in mind, BVLA can create a one-of-a-kind piece designed specifically for you. We’ll work with you throughout the design process to help bring your vision to life.

What gemstones can I choose from?

BVLA offers more than 150 natural and laboratory-created gemstones, including diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, opals, tourmalines, garnets, alexandrites and many more. We’ll help you choose gemstones that suit both your design and your budget.

What precious metals are available?

BVLA jewellery is available in premium precious metals, including 14k and 18k yellow, white and rose gold, with platinum available on selected designs. We’ll help you choose the best option for your jewellery and personal style.

How much does a BVLA custom order cost?

Every custom piece is individually priced based on the design, precious metal, gemstones and level of customisation. Following your consultation, we’ll provide a personalised quotation before your order is placed.

How long do BVLA custom orders take?

As every piece is handcrafted to order in Los Angeles, BVLA custom orders typically take 8–12 weeks to complete. Occasionally, more complex designs or rare gemstones may extend the lead time slightly.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. Once your design has been finalised and your quotation approved, a 20% non-refundable deposit is required before your order is submitted to BVLA and production begins. As every piece is handcrafted specifically for you, custom orders cannot be cancelled or changed once production has started. The remaining balance is due before your jewellery is collected or dispatched.

Can I order BVLA jewellery online?

Yes. We can discuss your ideas remotely and guide you through the custom ordering process. Once your design has been finalised and approved, we’ll arrange your order and provide updates throughout production until your jewellery is ready for collection or delivery.
